Design Brief

Moving into the new house was a ‘first baby step’ to a new adventure. But, finding the right decor, furniture, and colors for our bedroom was a challenge we wanted to accomplish within a month. My husband and I love our bed frame, so we wanted pieces that would flow together and give our retreat an overall natural, inviting feel. We wanted coziness and warmth for the bedroom because it is a space where we would unwind and relax at the end of the tiring day. We wanted a neutral color palette, pretty lamps to dress our nightstand, a dresser with storage was necessary, art sprinkled throughout the room, and perhaps even a floor-length mirror to invite the natural light through. I wanted my bedroom to have a mixture of mid-century, rustic, and boho with a pop of earthy colors to bring in visual interest.

Watching Design Experts at Work

My husband and I wanted to redecorate the bedroom for the longest time now until I came across Spacejoy, which put our task at ease. Our designer, Micaela Farley, is talented and so committed to giving her clients exactly what they require. All we had to do was express our love for the mid-century, rustic, and boho style - and from then on, Micaela put the pieces together to make my jig-saw puzzle of a bedroom come together. From wanting a cozy yet minimal bedroom to a color palette with only neutral but with a hint of earthy pops and pieces of furniture to match the nightstands and bed frame - everything that Micaela suggested and put into place was executed with perfection. My bedroom needed that infusion of color. I was skeptical about adding bright tones that would create excessive drama; however, Micaela brought the outdoors indoors with plants that gave in that right amount of color, which added warmth and vibrancy to the space. But, what we loved the most was Micaela’s enthusiasm to bring the whole look together, something our space has needed for the longest time. Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D

One of the main reasons I decided to go with Spacejoy was to witness my bedroom in 3D. The moment I saw my bedroom come alive on the app, I was speechless. The app is user-friendly and easy to use. Looking at the 3D model of my bedroom made me feel like I was standing inside the room, analyzing each corner inch by inch. This 3D experience helped me understand my space better so I could convey my needs clearly to my designer Micaela.

Micaela and the Spacejoy team knew what my husband and I wanted right from the beginning, and that’s when we realized that we’d struck gold. Micaela was so patient, understanding, and knowledgeable about our vision for the bedroom. She gave us her inputs when we were unsure. She took our feedback with a smile, and all this hard work and effort reflected in the 3D renders. To be honest, when I saw the final product of my bedroom in 3D, I was taken aback. I never imagined my bedroom to look like this - clean, minimal, rustic, boho, and the list goes on. It was crafted to perfection. My dream bedroom had finally come true.
