The living room is an integral part of a home, and having moved into a house, I was all geared up to turn my living room one into a space I could call my own. My personal choice is clean and spacious, so I thought an Industrial approach would be the best with a touch of farmhouse. Clean, quaint, and to the point.

Maria

Maria loves a good transformation story. Bringing people’s vision for their space to life and watching them swoon is the most satisfying aspect of her work. She believes that adding functional details is a tell-tale of a good design.

Design Brief

A clutter-free living room with no frills and nothing unnecessary is what I wanted. Since it was going to be the family hangout spot and a space where we could entertain our guests, seating, and ample amounts of it was crucial. We needed more than just a sofa or a sectional given the size of the room and the purpose it has to serve. The look and feel of the living room had to be calm and relaxing, so the color palette we chose was mainly neutrals accentuated with blues, black & white, and some pops of color to infuse warmth into the space.

Watching Design Experts at Work

Maria was just the person I needed to get the job done. She was thorough, and her attention to detail was just amazing. The functional elements that she managed to add to the living room design were significant. The seating challenge was quickly solved by adding an armchair and pouf, over and above the sofa. The overall concept was stylish and functional. Everything had its place, and it was absolutely clutter-free. Maria kept the theme of urban farmhouse with an industrial twist. There was plenty of storage as well, which, even though I didn’t ask for specifically, was a great thing to consider for the space. The predominantly neutral palette made the room look even bigger than it seemed, and it was really clever of Maria to leave a lot of floor space.

Designer Notes

We had so much fun designing your Living Room! You will see that we incorporated earth tones and light blue accents, creating a calm and relaxing vibe. The combination of woods and metals create an Urban Farmhouse style. All the pieces in the design were carefully chosen to create a kid-friendly environment.

Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D

Experiencing the living room design in 3D was a novel thing for me...and I have to say that it’s one of the best value-adds that Spacejoy gives to its customers. It gave me the perspective I needed to get started on the design and, most importantly, settle on what I thought was the best fit. Besides, given that the app is very user-friendly, it becomes another advantage that makes the entire design process even more simple.

Photorealistic images or 3D renders of Stephanie’s Living Room

Once we settled on the approach, I saw the 3D renders of my living room. It was like seeing it first hand. Maria, of course, impressed me a great deal. She took into consideration all the design inspiration I had given her...and she put together a fabulous plan for us to execute. After an initial round of feedback, all that was left was to get started!

Joyous Homes, Happy Customer

Moving into a new home is a big deal...and for me, I knew that the living room had to be the star of the show! We’re a pretty big family, so the design had to cater to everyone’s taste, and it sure did! I love it, my partner loves it, my kids can’t get over how lovely it looks, and I am pretty sure my dog is partial to it already. Goes to show how much thought went behind the entire thing and I couldn’t be happier. Spacejoy has not only lived up to my expectations, but has far exceeded it.
