Accent Chairs: Mid-Century Modern Living Room with Hints of Industrial Style

For this mid-century modern living room space, having a conversational and gathering layout was vital for optimizing the furniture and the area. As you enter the family room from the main entrance, you’ll find a cozy sitting nook with a pair of dark gray velvet swivel chairs. The piano has been placed adjacent to these accent chairs, and it allows for plenty of more seating in the remainder of the room. There is a seating arrangement of a pale beige sofa in the main area with soft, clean lines and tapered legs and a warm, wing chair from West Elm upholstered in the saddle vegan leather. The white marble coffee table also has an iron spoke base that ties in with the leather chair that adds a simple industrial element touch. The coffee table is paired with a set of gray ottomans that can be used to prop up your feet or extra seating. Grounding the room is a simple, lightly a distressed gray area rug. The artwork in the room is in a neutral palette with soft and muted tones. The overall design is effortless and serene while providing a comfortable and inviting environment for you and your guests.

I loved the design my designer created. It was warm and cozy all at once. I’ve already bought the table in the design.

I love my design! It feels warm and cozy even with the amount of grey that is currently in there. I’ve wanted that rug for a while sp seeing it used it in the design helped me make my mind up. I have already bought the coffee table and plan on buying the rest too. This design is everything I was looking for.
