I have mixed feelings about the piece I received. On the plus side the design is cool and the ivory color, not beige, is beautiful. On the negative side it is considerably smaller than the description on the Web site (6" in each dimension rather than 8"). This 25% discrepancy is noticeable in the space for which it was purchased. Although they mention that each piece is unique I would think the size would be something easier to control for as opposed to something like color. Additionally one of the three pieces of travertine appears to have been broken and glued back together. I'm not certain if this is intentional in order to get the total piece together or not. I can put the seam against the wall so it's not obvious, but not the way I like to bring things into my home. If I lived near a store I'd probably return it, but since I don't and the shipping and return fees are fairly high I may just live with it. Not a disaster, but doesn't make me want to rush out to sing CB2's praises either.

This piece could easily be found in designer showrooms for 3-5x its price, but they've nailed every aspect of executing this piece from design to sourcing to production, could not be improved on unless you wanted a different scale/size, but I think this piece is perfect on top of coffee table books, as a bookend, or just as an objet to break up the rhythm on your bookshelf. Easy to maintain, gorgeous natural texture.

Excellent product, high quality look and feel. Has a lot of weight to it. Color is a bit more muted and neutral than in the photos and fits our space perfectly. I will say that the shipping box it arrived in had a foul odor to it, but the product did not.

I bought this to add interest to our new built-in shelves, and it looks great! The website doesn’t do this piece justice; it is heavy and more substantial than it looks online. It is beautiful and adds dimension to our living room.
