We had two of these chairs for our office.
One of them we purchased, the other was given as a gift. Both chairs started sinking. We're both 170ish pounds. Eventually one of the legs on one chair just SNAPPED as it was sinking. I shared the photos with my local store and they were able to help me out and we exchanged it for a completely different chair. It’s clear that the manufacturing is flawed and the design of this chair doesn’t make sense. I mean, you’re putting all the stress on the middle of the chair with NO support on the legs. Sure the chair is beautiful but it’s definitely not functional.
They unfortunately weren’t able to help us out with the second chair because it was a gift. Our second chair sunk so low it and looks so warped it’s embarrassing. If you’re actually planning on using the chair I would but something else. If it’s for decor only then sure, because it is beautiful.
good in theory and nice looking but the chair is not very stable and leans forward because the base is not strong. I wish I could change the base to 4 legs stationary chair. the seat is nice though. We are trying to sell second-hand right now.

I received this chair as a holiday gift--the chair recently started squeaking loudly when in use / swiveling. Unexpectedly today, several ball bearings fell out of the chair onto the ground. For the amount this chair costs, this is unacceptably bad construction. Despite the nice aesthetics, I would not buy again. I hope someone from CB2 reads this review and remedies the situation.
I bought this chair in October of last year and thought I would give it a try despite my hesitation when it first arrived . 9 months later and it still is very uncomfortable. The seat is loose and does not feel sturdy at all.
LOVE the style and fabric of the chair . Very sturdy. Fairly wide so has a nice substantial appearance .
After normal daily use of this chair for 6 months it started to make a VERY loud squeaking noise whenever I move ever so slightly. I saw the negative reviews of this chair, but looked past them for the great design. Unfortunately, I have to report that this chair is not suitable for everyday use.
I weigh about 190lbs and after only 8 months of use, the rotating swivel mechanism has essentially broken resulting in ball bearings dropping out and the seat leaning to one side. This makes it very uncomfortable. Not sure how one would fix this without replacing the legs + swivel joint.
I'm not a heavy guy 145lbs. The legs bend and then keep bending little by little and the chair just gets shorter
Love the chair heavy well made. The only issue is the metal accents hit the desk easily and chips the wood. Had to buy protectors to put on it
When working from home became a more permanent reality, I was on the hunt for a living room desk chair that wasn’t really a desk chair. This is the first piece I saw and could NOT get it out of my mind. I kept the search on for a few weeks but ultimately came back to this one and it was 100% worth the money! Not only is the chair so beautiful but it’s comfortable - perfect for working during the day and an accent chair for the evening. I’m obsessed and will have this chair long after the work from home days are done!

It looks nice but the day I got it several areas of fabric were already frayed and parts not smooth. It's one of those chairs that may look good but it's not a practical desk chair for working home full time days. CB2 customer service I had to wait an hour to speak to someone but they did remedy quickly for a return.
This chair is perfect. A classier look than the usual desk chair and a nice addition to any room at home. Easy to assemble - even for one person. The grey tweed goes well will other furnishings and best of all it’s a comfortable chair. It swivels which adds to comfort. Happy with the purchase!
I bought the Rue Cambon Grey Tweed Office Chair about three months ago when the world stopped and began slowly accepting the realities of CV19. I'm 5'9 and 150lbs and so far the chair has held up really nicely. I bought it for aesthetic reasons, but now that I'm sitting on it 8+ hours a day, it's been a really nice addition to my now, more permanent, home office. While this may not be commercial grade, the material is holding up nicely, the cushion is still firm and of course, it's goes really well with my 1-bed NYC apartment.
I bought this chair because I liked the way it looked and the reasonable price. I had fairly low expectations about the quality. It is extremely comfortable (I sit in it for several hours a day) and looks great. I've had it two years now and besides using a little WD40 to fix a squeak, it has held up beautifully. Love it!
I use this as a desk chair every day, so I don't sit on it in a centered way necessarily. I am an average sized woman (under 150 pounds) and it has been slowly sinking with the legs slowly bending out of shape. It's ridiculously low now. I'm so dissapointed, in the past I have only had good things to say about chairs from here.
