This looked nothing like the picture. I purchased this because everything in my home is a black/dark aesthetic. The product came in and and almost entirely a light grey/beige. This is the first time a purchase from CB2 looks nothing like what’s advertised in the picture.

My board looks nothing like this! I understand each piece is unique, but mine doesn’t have any black on it (the whole reason I got it). It’s still a beautiful piece, but not at all what I had wanted.

I purchased all 7 of these that the West Hollywood store had in stock at the time in Oct/November. I use them as chargers or to serve a hearty meat entree like a Seared Japanese Wagyu Rib Eye, or a Duck Confit, or a Coq Au Vin. The presentation is beautiful, raw, natural, rare, and you're basically eating out of a piece of history. A piece that has been through millions of years of changes in the evolution of the Earth's inner most atmosphere. Yes, this slab of wood turned stone is very heavy, but it makes an outstanding showstopper, carry two at a time. In fact, carry one. Art takes time, like your edible art, and this piece of art. I usually love all the decor I get from CB2, but the piece I received was extremely underwhelming compared to the photos. My board is mostly beige in color and doesn’t really look like wood. I like the shape though, just wish it had more of the darker tones and that the edge resembled wood.

such a beautiful serving board. honestly I didn't expect it to be actual petrified wood, but man is this the real deal. and as a result, it's heavier than you'd expect; mine is about 9lbs. couldn't recommend it more

I love petrified wood and this serving board is just beautiful. Sometimes it’s hit or miss with natural materials on whether or not it’s an attractive cut but this one was perfect. Perfect balance of Black and Tan and a very interesting symmetrical design.
