Very bad design for this price- having white plastic showing right in the middle of the rod! And, there is NO image on the web site to show the full rod, so the representation is deceiving.

I am very disappointed in the change in quality of these curtain rods. I have them in my home from previous purchases several years back. The finial ends are 1/4 inch smaller, the rod itself is much thinner, in the middle of the rod the plastic shows, and the hardware to hang them is not as clean looking. For the money you could get these rods cheaper. I would return them but the other window in the room has an older version that I had not hung. I bought them for the style which I still like but quality is not what I expect from C&B.

I hate to leave a bad review as well, but I would recommend passing on this product. The design is fine, we wanted something understated. However, for the price we paid, and the fact that this was a Crate and Barrel product, we were certainly expecting something more premium. The rod is flimsy and unremarkable. We have other rods in the home that cost less than half of the price and look/feel more premium. Do not buy.

I hate to leave a bad review but I’d say keep looking. They are very plain so you should be able to find similar elsewhere for a way cheaper price and the long one I ordered just doesn’t look very high end once up and stretched out to 160” it just is meh

I am beyond disappointed in this curtain rod. The brackets have silver screws to tighten the rod to the brackets. Silver screws and the rod and brackets are matte black. The screws don’t have a head and they stick out (they don’t even screw all the way in) and ruins the entire look of the curtains. It also doesn’t include a wrench to tighten the screws like the instructions say it’s included. This is a big manufacturing flaw. I would expect more for purchasing $500 worth of curtains and hardware.

I bought these curtain rods for my bedroom and I’m very happy with my purchase!! They give a modern look to our bedroom and they were easy to install.

I wanted a solid, classic and simple curtain rod for my huge picture window and the perpendicular wall of glass doors to the balcony. These are perfect: so elegant in their simplicity, they do not overpower the curtains or the view. Absolutely delighted!

We have a very large set of windows and sliding doors to our balcony, and it took a while to find a curtain rod long enough to fit the space. This one is great! We are very happy with how it looks in the space.

Really like the build quality of this project. The assembly time is pretty short and straightforward.

This would be great except for the silver screws sticking out the front. I thought we got the wrong pieces or (tbh) my husband was doing something wrong, but this is actually how it's supposed to be? I could not tell that from the photos. Very strange why CB wouldn't use black screws.

Very unhappy with final appearace of the Matte Black Curtain Rods. There is a visible, unsightly chrome/steel screw that holds the rod in the bracket. This was not obvious to me in the picture, and shows poor attention to detail by Crate and Barrel. Quality overall is average at best.

We purchased this rod in-store and waited a bit for arrival. It was the first one in this size that we’d seen and actually liked. Unfortunately, it’s not as sturdy as we’d hoped. Our window is 155”w. Although this rod comes with four brackets, we were not able to close our drapes entirely if we installed all four, so we opted for a single bracket in the middle and one on each end of the rod. As a result, the rod bounces up and down (despite the screws being tightened) when we open and close the curtains. If you are able to install all four brackets or you don’t need to open and close your curtains regularly (perhaps they are more decorative than functional), then this rod is probably okay. If your situation is similar to ours, we would suggest opting for something with more stability at the 160”-170” lengths- particularly if using the coordinating rings (there are too few of them in a set & they get caught on the telescoped sections easily).

Very nice and sturdy however it scratches very easily.
