This desk is lovely, and fits beautifully into our family room. It has ample workspace, and the gold hardware make it look very elegant. It was quite easy to assemble and came in pristine condition. It does not have large drawer space, but you don't expect that from a writing-style desk. I love this piece.

Be careful with this desk. I wore a new dark sweater and put my elbows down on it and it stained the shagreen permanently. There was no options available to fix. Am thinking of getting a bronze colored glass to cover an already pretty pricy desk. So disappointed by the desk and customer service.

Beautiful! Really love this desk! Great looking from front and the back! Easy assembly! Wish it provided cleaning directions - i used a traditional glass cleaner and was afraid I ruined it but the spots eventually disappeared.

The desk overall is very beautiful, but for the price point the imperfections are extensive. I should not be able to see the seams lifting/separating on the desk where the material connects. The legs are obviously spray painted gold. The overall finish of the product should’ve been a lot better for $700.

I love the look of this desk and around was simple. Sturdy and looks exactly like the online photos. I have no issues with the drawers as some others have commented, that says, for setup, one of many screw holes to put the desk together was drilled slightly off so it’s impossible to put the screw completely in. If I weren’t desperate for a desk, I’d exchange it. It’s a mid priced desk but it clearly was an issue when the holes were pre drilled that I cannot fix myself as the hole is drilled very slightly off so I can’t just move the one I properly drilled hole. If that had not occurred, the desk would be 5/5 stars.

CB2 has been great...customer service and delivery exceptional. The desk is perfect size, very unique and well made. The color depiction of the shagreen is very accurate. The satin brass color is a bit more bronzy than brassy and while attractive and acceptable for gold tones, it does not match other CB2 brushed brass hardware exactly. Example, it is way off from the brushed brass book shelves. However, packaging at the factory and defects at factory level (glue spots, bubbling of MDF under the leatherette and indentations) has led to 3 desks having to go back for exchanges. I'm convinced that without the defects the desk will last a long time. I'm waiting for my 4th now and hoping to get a good one... As for the comments about how the drawers close--it is completely normal and supposed to be that way...these are not automatic slow close rails, they require an extra tap to close snugly and I love the way they feel when they close--substantial and quality.

I bought this as a writing desk and it has not disappointed. It has a nice cream hue which blends very well. I have two issues with the desk - 1) I am unsure how to clean it. As a writing desk it is likely to have ink stains. How do I clean that? and 2) the knobs scratch my legs if I get up from my seat without confirming I have clearance. So if they could be smoothed a bit that would be ideal

This desk is absolutely beautiful. I was a little worried about quality when I read the other reviews but I don't see any concerns with the drawers, they surprisingly store quite a bit and the desk matches so many different colors.
