Multi-Functional Bohemian Entryway With Industrial Accents

By layering differently shaped rugs, we expanded the transitional bohemian entryway area designed to be functional, practical, and relaxing. Because the entryway sets the tone for the rest of the home's decor, we kept it with a neutral color palette and added industrial elements with the bench and shoe storage setup from Wayfair and the console table. Because functionality was a significant element of this design, baskets are added throughout the design to serve as storage space and decorations at the same time. The console grounds the window, while the greenery touches add a touch of color and bring the outdoors indoor.

About this design

There is so much to heart in this entryway. But, first, let’s talk about storage. We believe a beautifully decorated entrance with lots of storage will inspire you to keep things tidy instead of throwing your stuff in a massive heap. Considering it is unlike any other entryway, we made sure to make this space functional and beaming with positive energy. The oversized mirror mounted on the wall creates an illusion of larger space, while the differently layered rugs bring in a more realistic and relaxing feel. We kept to a neutral color palette with industrial elements like the sleek console and the svelte wooden bench. We also favored decorating the entryway with greenery to add in that extra dose of color and bring the outdoors indoors. Finally, we spruced this space using a barrel chair in a bright blue tone to give you room to relax, read a book, or enjoy a cup of hot chocolate.

Mirrors create an illusion of a larger space, which is why we opted for this oversized mirror from Wayfair.
No entryway is complete without a few baskets or bins for storage. The wicker baskets from World Market and Pottery Barn bring warmth to space with their natural texture.
The industrial elements that ground the room with a view are the console table, the Jannie hall tree bench, and Wayfair's shoe storage.
The vintage daisy gray rug from ruggable brings room warming color. In nooks, there are splashes of natural green accents from Houzz, The Sill, and Wayfair.
The Prisma monochrome rug from ruggable anchors the entryway space, brightening up the sterile walls.
We’ve also added glimmering elements in brass like the marble umbrella stand from West Elm and the decorative vases from Target, which bring in a touch of glam.
