For our first option, we are going to work cozy finishes and small hints of color to create a sophisticated space. We'll start with keeping your existing sectional in the same space. We'll layer in LOTS of cozy pillows, from textured neturals to patterned blue ones. Next, we'll double layer the rugs to create a grounded space but to also allow people to move comfortably throughout the room. A larger club style chair will frame off the seating area. We'll use versatile nesting tables for an end table option, so that you can move them around as needed. Since the space above the sofa is a dropped ceiling, I'd recommend keeping the gallery wall simple. We don't want to create visual confusion or too much clutter. Lastly, We'll upgrade your daughters work station with a mini desk, lots of storage from this Ikea cabinet, a fab lamp and a super lux and cozy sheepskin rug.
