Although Jinlu began studying painting at a early age and graduated from the Central Art Institute of China, it was winning an honorable mention in the Chinese competition Creative Oil Paintings by 1,000 People that motivated him to pursue a career. His work focuses on a balanced relationship between the subject and the background. Recently, he has devoted himself to abstract compositions that use color as the vehicle to create a relationship with the viewer.
