All you have to do is screw the base to the rest of the piece, when you open it. fairly simple process.

Lamp itself is beautiful and nice quality, but the cord placement will bug me forever. Instead of coming out of the base of the lamp, the cord sticks out of the metal arm about an inch and half above the base and then hangs limply across the base of the lamp. It's a small thing, but just a tiny tweak to the design would have result in much cleaner lines.

Solid, good quality materials, assembles very easily and comes with vintage style bulb. Great addition with cool lines and a retro but elegant look.

I find the base a tad large to put on a small desk. Otherwise very beautiful especially given the low pricing of this item.

Very nice lamp. Bulb came with it. Not the brightest light but more of a mood lighting.
