My sofa was defective. One of the legs didn't screw in; it just went around and around and wobbled. Article said I needed to wait at home from 12-4 for it to be picked up, so I planned to be home pretty much all day one day, and then they canceled the appointment and scheduled another one, so including the day it was delivered, I spent THREE DAYS at home waiting on the delivery and pick-up this defective couch. So just know that if you get a defective item, you will spend A TON of time dealing with Article's mistake, and they will claim days of your life to come collect their poorly made product. They just picked it up, and now I have to wait 7-10 days for the refund, so I hope there isn't any issue with that now. An update: the sofa was picked up 12 days ago, and the refund still has not been processed. I have been told it will take 7-10 days from when the sofa arrives in the warehouse. I reported that this sofa was defective weeks ago, but I still have not received a refund. So just know that if you get a defective item, the charge will just stay on your credit card for a very long time.

UPDATED REVIEW: I've now had this sofa just under two years, and I am very disappointed with the the quality. The main seat cushion has gone flat almost everywhere with random lumps throughout (i am 110 lbs so this should not be an issue). I fluff the cushions regularly but it does nothing to improve the state of the main cushion. It cannot be flipped over either. Customer service has been unwilling to help in this department-just telling me i can purchase a new cushion which seems insane for something less than two years old. Further, the fabric pills horribly!! Customer service offered me $50 for a fabric shaver which was nice but it still pills. It is a high maintenance sofa to keep looking nice, and two years in despite my best efforts, looks very poor. I hoped to have this couch for awhile but it seems like 2 years is about the length of its life. Disappointed for the price. I have bought a lot of furtniture from Article and recommended to many people- but wish i would have waited to do both until after experiencing the quality issues. Old review: Gorgeous sofa. So comfortable. A bit too much packaging but I'm glad they took care to protect the product. I have noticed some pilling on the sofa after about a month of having it and there is some random reddish threading in a few places in the back.

This couch was great for the first 2 years. The fabric is beautiful and the pillows, shape and design are lovely and holding up very well. However the seat cushion has receded to the point of back pain when you sit on it. I don’t spend more than a normal amount of time sitting on the couch. I am a small person and have the large L-shape to myself, so I try to move around it for even use. But it’s still making my lovely couch almost unusable. Do you offer replacements for the seat cushions?

Sofa is beautiful!! Perfect color for a neutral pallet. Fabric is not the comfiest, or softest but hoping it’ll break in over time.

So glad we bought this couch! We had seen it an Airbnb a couple of years ago and fell in love. We just moved to a new apartment and decided to get it for the new space. It was delivered right into our living room and was easy to assemble. It looks great, is the perfect size (large but not bulky), and is very comfortable. I don’t remember the cushions being so hard, but I assume they soften up over time. I love how wide the seat is and that the cushions are removable. Overall very satisfied with this purchase!

UPDATED REVIEW: After my initial review, customer care reached out right away which I appreciate. However, like other reviewers, I was offered $50 for a fabric shaver, and then it was suggested that I don’t know how to fluff cushions. Trust me people, this sofa has to be fluffed daily to try and keep it looking halfway decent. And it does not help that it is designed so that you can’t flip the cushion. Buyers take note - this is NOT an investment sofa. Only purchase if you are planning on replacing within a year or two! Original review: We purchased this couch about a year ago and I wanted to wait to write a review until we had it a while. The design is beautiful and the style is perfect, but it does not hold up and in my opinion is not worth the hefty price. My husband and I are the only people who use this couch so it’s not seeing a crazy amount of wear and tear - but but the fabric condition and stuffing condition, you wouldn’t know it. The fabric started pilling shortly after purchasing it. A year in, the pilling is terrible and the cushions/pillows are deflated and saggy. Disappointed for sure as we had hoped that we spent all that money on a quality piece we would use for years to come, but that is not the case.

Great 3 Seater Couch!

This couch had everything we wanted - the color is gorgeous, the shape and design works well with any style and can be dressed up or down, and the size is just right. Plus, we added the ottoman which acts as a chaise and makes lounging even more comfortable! My only concern with both this and the ottoman is the material and cushions wearing over time. I have two large dogs and have already seen minor snags in the material (that I've managed to fix or pull tight again with tweezers) but I'm sure this will impact the look over time. Hoping the bottom and back cushions don't sag or change shape over time too - we fluff them up every day to make sure they keep their shape!

Im not one to write reviews but I’m so amazed with the experience I had with article that I needed to write something. I was very hesitate to order a couch that I’ve never seen/felt in person but I’m sooooo happy I did. The Sven is super comfortable- everything I wanted and more. I’ve had the couch for 2 months now and it still looks brand new. Articles customer service and delivery team was amazing throughout the whole process. I would recommend article to everyone. Truly an amazing company!

DO NOT BUY THIS SOFA! I was will to accept the fact that the pillows and cushions are very much under-stuffed and even the risk that the light color my attract dirt, but the pilling is ridiculous. I’ve had it for all of four months and it all ready looks like it is SEVERAL years old. I would not buy this sofa again and I definitely would not spend over $1000 on it. I would not even spend $200. Run, people! Learn from my mistake. Consider yourselves warned.

Pretty disappointing. The fabric is extremely course - like camel hair or burlap. Not quite as bad as sandpaper, but pretty rough. I'd imagine you could use the fabric to prep a wall for painting. Given our expectation on longevity, that's what we may use it for. At this point, we are looking for an unused room to store it before we sell it. No way I am having any delivery person from Article get near my property to return it, so I guess we are stuck with the thing.
