I would love to say this was installed and went in easy. It didn’t. I believed I understood the dimensions and measured correctly prior to purchasing, but I guess I didn’t. I would need to trim approximately 34 of an inch off the inner aspect of the legs in order for it to line up with the mantel itself. Not sure if I’m going to keep it and try or just donate it to habitat for humanity. The product only had a minor dent in the mantel which I could live with. Well it is “installed” after I hired someone to trim the inner aspect of the legs. Due to his shoddy workmanship I need to repaint the actual finished mantle itself. Pearl Mantels were helpful in telling me the type paint that was originally used so I I can repaint it. I will figure out how to hide the gaudy caulking, I’m considering placing decorative tile on the “non-Pearl” wood. This has been rather quite frustrating.
