We love our Helix shelves. They are SO tall I can’t even reach the top shelf with a step stool. We bought ours to hold books, and while there are no photos of the shelf holding books in the listing, they do just that quite well. The sales team told us that each shelf can hold 75lbs of weight. Our only complaint is that one of the three units has significantly lighter veneer. Regarding the underside of the bottom shelves, they are finished, but it is a different veneer (with less grain). It’s really barely noticeable from couch height.

I bought two of these to hold all of our records and they're great! They're sturdy and look stylish. I really love the height of them as well as we have tall ceilings in our family room.

I had my eye on this shelf for years but never had a wall tall enough for it till we moved to our current home! Installed it two years ago and I still love it. The fact that it mounts to the wall makes it nice and sturdy!

I bought the smaller version of this for my office and knew I needed it for my house. It is the perfect piece to display some of my favorite pieces as well as house my book collection. Super easy to assemble and install to the wall.

I purchased the helix 92” desk which is a great product. I was so content with the product that I decided to purchase the matching bookshelf 93” helix which CB2 advertised together. Upon receipt of the bookshelf, I noticed the shelves are darker color than the desk. Good quality and design but the pictures are misleading they they are matching on color.

I have three of these. They are sturdy and we’re easy to put together. They unfortunately only finish the bottoms of the top two shelves, so when sitting on the couch in the room they are installed you can see the unfinished wood underneath. I wish I had realized before I installed them as I would’ve finished the shelves myself. Otherwise I recommend these bookshelves I just wish the manufacturer hadn’t been so cheap and only finish the top two shelves…

This shelf is such a stunning piece. I got a lot of compliments on it, and it really tied together my living room space. I loved that it went almost all the way to my ceiling. Unfortunately I just had to disassemble to move, and what a disaster! The screws pretty much ripped the particle board apart, and there's really no way to re-assemble in my new space. I'm very bummed, and I wish it had been a higher quality construction that could withstand disassembly and reassembly. Sigh.

My ceilings are 12’ and lacked character when I moved in to my new home. I struggled to find a bookcase that was taller than 72”. After searching for 6 months, and meeting with a consultant, I finally purchased two of the 96” Helix bookcases. I purchased one plain and one with the drawers to mix it up on each side of my TV/media console. They look amazing! Almost a year later and I absolutely love them. I get so many complements! Worth the money for how much character and dimension they gave my blank slate of a family room wall.

Classy, simple, easy to build (one person). Need 2 people to mount though. It's really a nice piece, super sturdy. I use it for my record albums and they fit perfectly with an inch or two at the top. Lots of compliments.

Lots of reviews note how stunning these are in large spaces, but I wanted to add that they're just as beautiful in small rooms. I bought these for my home library, and the top brackets sit only about 6 in. below my ceiling, which creates a cozy "floor to ceiling" book-filled look. They were easy to put together though a bit difficult to lift/maneuver with just one person. Overall, I'm happy with them!

These are lovely, clean and open. Installation, at least in an older home like ours, will benefit greatly from the use of a level to ensure they are both level and square. I have an abundance of books, so that and the occasional collectible (placed in front of books, because I need more of these) are the only items I've placed on them and they've held up well so far. My only disappointment is that I already had a couple that I bought many years ago and these are not an exact match. They have darkened both the rails and the shelves, so be aware of that difference if you are adding to a set. I placed them on a different wall in the same room, and the inconsistent color is not overt.

We LOVE this bookshelf. Amazing quality and super simple design. We have 96" ceilings, so liked the idea of going straight up to the top. It fits (but we did have to leave off the little feet that come with it, which was OK since it secured to the wall). We get so many compliments on this bookshelf and people are always shocked by the price. It looks more expensive than it is ;).

I'm impressed by the quality of the shelves and heavy metal frame. It arrives in two, heavy boxes and I was able to put it together myself. You might need a second set of hands to help install it on your wall. As stated about the included hardware, they are short therefore when used to attach it to your drywall, it might not attach to the wall as securely as you'd like but you can buy new dry wall studs and longer nails if you'd like. Over all, this didn't bother me and felt the bookshelf was secure enough in the location. The height between the shelves is spacious enough for coffee table books all the way to accommodating a table top record player. These helix bookshelves will be a staple in any home I'm in given how versatile they are in any space.

I bought three of these for my hallway. They are easy to put together. One person can do the assembly (my 5 year old helped, too), but you do need two people to attach them to the wall (one to hold it level, one to pre-drill, etc.). The bookcases don’t feel like the most stable, given they are literally hanging off the wall and each shelf is attached to one support under the middle of it. We have them filled with books and they look great.

The shelves came packaged very well. Lots of protection and it worked. The items were all in perfect condition. The wood veneers used are very nice with a rich finish. Assembly and installation could not be much easier, especially for such a bulky item. Looks like the pictures and is a great unit for lots of shelving that doesn't look bulky in a room. My only nit are the stickers on the underside. They leave a residue when peeled off that takes a while to clean up well. It would be nice if the stickers, if needed at all, would use a less aggressive adhesive that didn't leave residue. The part letter could also be just as easily stamped on the unfinished part of the shelf where the shelf standards attach. In any event, still just a nit and would purchase again. Why not 5 stars? Two things, the attachment hardware could include longer black screws that can go directly into studs. The short screws provided don't make it so I needed my own screws as I didn't use the anchors provided. Second, the underside of the shelves (which you can see easily as they are 8 feet tall), have a slight look of being unfinished because of the connection point to the metal standards. If there was a way to make it look more finished so that the attachment point wasn't as visible, this would be a 5 star product.
