Well crafted and the metal/object has a good weight to it, but the sphere balance on its axis as shown in the pictures. Doesn't look as good on its side, unfortunately.

I like the simple design, the quality of metal, and the craftsmanship of this item, but it's a bit drab for my taste. It would be more appealing if it were a brighter color. I may try spray painting it pewter or antique gold, crossing my fingers it adheres well to the metal. For those who prefer an industrial look, this is a very nice piece.
