Our Crate & Barrel design consultant had suggested this rug in mineral blue with our new Peyton Sofa (in Macey - Ash) and our wood-look tile floor. It is not a pattern or look I would have selected, but it pulls everything together perfectly. I love it. We complimented this with the "Knurl Nesting Coffee Tables" and it looks great. A few things to note: (1) it is wool so it should wear well, (2) it is not as thick as I thought it would be (3/8"), (3) the pattern is less defined than I expected when seen in person, and (4) if you have pets with nails, I could envision the rug getting "pulls".

I purchased this rug thinking it was the same quality as our other Alvarez mineral area rug. Sadly, it is not. Within 1-2 days, the weave is falling apart. I’ve had to cut the frayed loops multiple times since we purchased. The color is beautiful, but something happened in the quality control department. I would send it back, if I could. We waited over a month, which was expected. Upon pick up the rug color was mislabeled. Customer service was helpful in reordering. Overall, the quality of this rug is really poor. I foresee replacing it within the year, unfortunately.

We have had this rug for two months and I have no complaints. I found the colors online to match my expectations. The pattern reads very neutral and i love the way it pulled my room together.

The colors of the rug we received were not the same as the rug we had expected. That being said, we placed the rug in a different area within our home and we are pleased we were able to find another area for the rug. We called Crate & Barrel and spoke with a manager who was quite helpful and understanding of our concern regarding the color discrepancy.

After going through three living room rugs from other companies that were not made well and looked even worse, I bit the bullet and bought the Alvarez Black Hand Tufted Rug. It is beautiful and just what the room needed. I love it!

Looks great and feels great. Two problems: 4 months post-purchase my vac canister still fills with fibers and I need to snip loops that come up. On the whole, though, good purchase.

Good quality and nice pattern.

I love this rug - we moved into a home with lots of white and gray tones and this fits in perfectly. I love the splashes of gold color and the pattern. Simple but beautiful.

This is an absolutely gorgeous rug. The pictures on the website certainly don’t do it justice. Be sure to order the rug swatches beforehand.

This is a nice rug, but the colors aren't as vibrant as the photos depict. C&B doesn't sell crap.

I put this under our dining room table and after only vacuuming a two or three times, there are numerous threads pulled up out of the carpet! I had bought a blue one a few years ago, where the problem was not been as bad, and I loved the design, so I bought another one. This is clearly not going to last very long, and I am very disappointed in the quality of it. This seems to be a general problem with C&B carpets, as I have the same problem with another one (different design).

Carpet is beautiful and well made. The only issue is you can’t slide your chair easily in and out. Chairs won’t move at all. Other than that it’s all good!

I've only had it for a few days. Pleasantly surprised with the product. I got the Cream color and it's warm enough with nice earth tones to brighten up my room with dark hardwood floors. I don't have a rug pad under it, so far it seems plush enough. Not like a shag rug, but I'm happy to lie on it! Did 2 vacuums and lots of shedding was sucked up, I don't think it'll be a big deal. Only down side was terrible experience picking up the rug. I drove 2h to warehouse outside of Vancouver to find out it wasn't there, it was in Toronto, even though I called to see if the rug was there! Had to wait another month for it to be shipped so a total of 4 months waiting.
