A bold statement in all black, "Ripple II" is a piece crafted from black sand and gel, with its designs carved into the surface using a plaster comb. "It's about feel and touch and the absence of light," explains artist Charlene Lynch. Hangs in two orientations.
CHARLENE LYNCH. Montreal-based artist who describes her style as a study of natural elements through tone and light. "I'm inspired by extremes in nature and manmade structures." She expresses these ideas through fluid abstract landscapes with geometrical interference as well as floral designs where she incorporates a distressed, weatherworn look.
