Great quality steel mantel, sturdy construction! There is no holes pre-drilled but that’s actually not too bad because all configurations are different anyways. I had to mount it on metal studs behind the tiles and non-combustible board, not as easy as I thought but it’s nothing to do with the product. Color is real black and not greenish as I’ve seen with other (more expensive) mantels. Very happy with my purchase!!

Looks great, had a slight ding in it when we opened it that i thought i wouldnt notice once installed, i see it a bit, but still a good looking piece. Install was intense, but my husband did it himself after getting proper tools

This was as described but like others, it was little warped and doesn't sit perfectly level. Needed for a TV heat deflector.

Nice looking mantel for the money. It arrived much earlier than the 5-6 week original ship date. Installed easily.

This is a high quality non-combustible mantel that looks amazing! We got it to deflect the heat from the TV we’ll mount above the gas fireplace. Installation is easy, but you should know what you’re doing (drill, tape measure, level and screwdriver or socket wrench are all you’ll need). I’m beyond happy with this US made mantle… it’s perfect!

The mantel is awesome! Installation was pretty decent. Some moments of tediousness. But par for the course. It is serving the intended purpose and looks great!

This mantel is great. The quality is superb, tight tolerances, beautiful finish. We mounted it with 4 38 redheads into the old brick fireplace. It is solid. No sag at all. Others have reviewed that theirs had a tilt, but we found it to be perfectly true (note that if your wall is not plumb, you should shim behind the mantel or you will get a slanted outcome).

Very nice once it was finally installed and secured. Did NOT come with predrilled holes. Screws supplied are long and too thin to support mantel. Purchase bigger screws with washers to mount flush to wall.

Looks good, but it came with no parts (no bolts, inadequate instructions). It sags about 4 degrees, even after drilling into studs. Might hold up to 25 lbs.

I would highly recommend this shelf to the customers!

It really looks good and we needed something to help divert the heat from the fireplace. I wouldn’t put anything too heavy on the edge, though.

I just love this mantel. It was exactly as described, color and size. Perfect for my fire place wall.

It's gorgeous once installed, but be warned if you're a DIYer, it is not a simple assembly. You will need metal drill bits for the back plate that fit your screws. You'll need to Pre drill each hole before trying to get a weight bearing screw in there. And that means drilling into your support structure to make sure your in a stud, measuring to match up with the mantle back piece, and then drilling out the metal for each hole. we upgraded the screws just to be sure that they could take the load and that they fit the drill bit, because the instructions do not specify this little detail (screw size). Once all the drilling is done, it's a slide on for the main mantle piece, which is the easy part. But it would have been very nice to know what we were getting into before install.

The mantel looks great and fits perfectly, but in my opinion it's a little too heavy to attach without sagging a bit, but I made it work.
