Open and Simple Modern Mid-Century Living Room

For this mid-century living room keeping an open layout was critical. To make this happen, we made careful choices with the furniture selection. From the coffee table to the accent chairs, sofa, and side table, all have exposed legs that let the eye see-through. This simple but clever design trick can instantly make a room look more spacious. To keep everything out in the open, we kept everything simple, letting the sofa be the center of attention with a more bright tone than the other pieces in the room. Finally, to add some layers and extra texture, we included a faux sheepskin rug that also makes the illusion of a smaller nook by the fireplace.
