Multi-Functional and Transitional Living Room

To make this intimate, yet functional and multi-purpose living room, we chose to maintain the same style overall and played with existing furniture to capitalize on the space. For this living room, the seating arrangement sets the tone—a family room, designed to spark conversations and entertain. The bookshelves frame the TV area while also serving as storage space and a vertical option for decorative accents. We were able to maintain the owner's piano and incorporate it into the room without disrupting the design. We chose to keep the rooms relatively neutral, to give the design some longevity, and to have the opportunity to change seasonal accessories. Finally, we decided to take advantage of the living room's layout to include a dedicated Montessori-style room for the children.

I loved the design my designer created. It was warm and cozy all at once. I’ve already bought the table in the design.

I love my design! It feels warm and cozy even with the amount of grey that is currently in there. I’ve wanted that rug for a while sp seeing it used it in the design helped me make my mind up. I have already bought the coffee table and plan on buying the rest too. This design is everything I was looking for.
