A Beachy Blue Transitional Coastal Bedroom

For this transitional coastal bedroom, we chose a light and airy color palette of ivories, creams, taupes, and cool Wedgewood blue accents, drawing inspiration from Pottery Barn and McGee & Co. The ivory upholstered king bed with a tall headboard is streamlined yet soft and is the focal point upon entering the room, setting the tone for other foundational pieces. The vintage-inspired rug draws cool muted colors into the space that feel warm and inviting yet understated and not overpowering. Seating next to the windows provides a tranquil place to have morning coffee while enjoying the view outdoors, cozy up with a book, or enjoy quiet conversation. The lines of both the nightstands and drawers' chest lean more transitional with curved detail and more delicate hardware. We placed a large round mirror above the dresser in this design. However, a tv might easily go here if you prefer to watch a movie in bed. All around, this coastal bedroom feels polished and styled while maintaining the cozy, retreat feeling.
