This living room design is for our family of six, which includes two adults and four kids. We also have two dachshunds, Sookie and Rocco, who love lounging on the couch. We want to create a lively and colorful space that our children will enjoy now and as they grow older, while also being suitable for adults. Additionally, we have a white long-haired cat who sheds, so we need furniture and fabrics that don't attract cat hair. I maintain a very clean home, so materials that don’t hold onto cat hair are essential. We’re aiming for a beautiful space where we can spend a lot of time together. My style is a blend of shabby chic and traditional with a modern twist.

Design Brief
We are looking for a beautiful space to live and spend most of our time in. I’m a combination of shabby chic and traditional with a modern flair. We will use this space to host family and friends for dinners and playdates, curl up and snuggle while watching TV, and make everyday memories as a family of four. The design needs to be both stylish and functional, accommodating our daily activities while reflecting our style. The goal is to create a warm and inviting environment that balances practicality with elegance. The space should feel comfortable and cozy, perfect for intimate gatherings and quality family time, while also being sophisticated.

Designer Notes
Hi Tamara, For your revision, I just tweaked the placement of the sideboard and added another arch mirror, to give that wall more pop. For the dining room, I've placed your 6 gray dining chairs, and added an ivory upholstered armed chair to give the head and foot hostess/host chairs more drama with the contrast. For the counter stools, I've found these lovely transitional/farmhouse style medium cool wood finish with open carved backs for visual interest and add detail in the kitchen. Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D
The Spacejoy app allowed us to experience our redesigned living room in stunning 3D. We could view our new space from different angles and see how the design elements came together to create a vibrant, fun atmosphere. The interactive features let us tweak various aspects, ensuring everything was perfect. We could visualize the placement of furniture, the interplay of colors, and the overall flow of the room.

We were able to gain a thorough understanding of how our room would look through these realistic renders, which ensured that every piece of furniture and decor was perfectly placed. We could see the textures, colors, and lighting, and we are extremely excited to see our place come to life. Spacejoy did an incredible job designing our space beautifully.
