We just moved into our forever home and want to design our primary bedroom. In our last home, we didn’t buy nice furniture, but now we want to invest in quality pieces that will last. Our aim is to create a calm and relaxing space where we can unwind after busy days with our kids.

Design Brief

In August, we moved into our new home and are excited to design our primary bedroom. Our priority is to have a cohesive room filled with timeless pieces that we can carry with us for years to come. We’re looking forward to making this space truly our own.

Watching design experts at work with Spacejoy is an inspiring experience. After moving into a new home and feeling overwhelmed, I turned to their services for help. Heather, my designer, was amazing at understanding my goals and aesthetic, leading to a perfect collaboration.

Designer Notes:

Hi Nicole! Attached is the revision for your master bedroom. I've added in the 8x10 rug to the floor. That rug size is a tad small for a king size bed, so I layered a larger textured rug under it to really help ground the space. I also swapped out the dresser and the bed frame. I really love how this design has come together, let me know your thoughts!

Spacejoy + Heather (Designer) = PERFECTION! I moved into a new home 6 months ago and was completely overwhelmed with the idea of decorating the new space. The entire process was so enjoyable I was finally excited to decorate! Heather was our designer and she was BEYOND AMAZING. She understood my design goals and the overall aesthetic, it made for a perfect collaboration.
