Purchased almost 2 yrs ago even after I read the reviews. Everything was OK until Monday 02/01/22. Spring came flying out and hit my plants, luckily nothing broken. Then the other shade broke today 2/03/23, this time the spring went flying out of the top across the room and hit my dog!! This time I'm upset because my dog has a large knot on her head!!! I know it's 1yr past warranty, but this is wrong on so many levels!!!

I first gave these 5 stars when they were installed. The previous reviews were mostly positive so I bought 7 for different size windows at my beach house. After a year, 4 are broken. I was sitting in my living room, heard a pop and looked at the shade. The string was broken. Wayfair has promised to replace 3 (I’ve received one replacement, the other two are on back order) one is ok but won’t attach at the top. I’m asking for another replacement today. I wanted the top down bottom up because our windows face the morning and afternoon sun. We could get sunlight depending on the time of day.

**In my head "Another One Bites the Dust" is playing** So yeah, that's it. I was hoping what happened to the last blind was a one off, but nope. Done with these blinds. Too expensive to have to be constantly replacing. We'll be looking at new blinds for the entire house now.

These are complete garbage. As other reviewers have mentioned, our blinds suddenly snapped and exploded. This happened all on its own, not while opening or closing. We have no children, so blinds were always treated with great care. The other 2 blinds we bought for smaller windows have stretched out so much that they almost hit the floor. Don't waste your money. Hoping for a complete refund before pursuing a lawsuit for dangerous spring mechanism. Wayfair has told me they do not guarantee this product or take any responsibility for selling a potentially dangerous item.

Update: well I WAS in love. After a year I'm having to replace at least one of these shades. Middle of the night one of the plastic clasps snapped, the blind dropped to the bottom of the window due to the spring losing tension and the blind is now useless. Better yet, they don't have the size available for the one that broke so I had to purchase one an inch too small. Not pleased. If another one breaks I'll be switching to something else. Personally I don't think blinds should break that easily. We don't have children, they were gently used and well cared for, so this is kind of ridiculous. Original post: These are by far one of my favorite purchases. We use them nonstop. They really help keep the house dark and cool. I also love the option to do top down if we want some privacy, but also want light. For reference, we purchased the gray option and they are a medium gray (just looks darker in this picture).

We purchased 4 of these blinds. After two years, 3 out of the 4 have had the internal strings snap causing the blind to no longer retract up. They’re completely useless now. We didn’t even pull them down/up that often and we were always gentle when doing so. We tried to find a way to fix them but it doesn’t seem possible. I can’t believe how defective they are for how much they cost.

Shades work well. However, I bought 8 shades and 7 of the 8 I have purchased have broken. The plastic pieces that the springs are attached to have popped out of the shades so they are useless. The cord attached to spring will no longer raise or lower the shade. Wayfair has replaced 6 of the shades during the first year. The seventh broke over the weekend.

I’ve had these blinds since Oct 2020 (16 months) two of the mechanisms have now failed! Plastic pieces have broken, they will not stay up! I bought 3 of them for my front window, over 400. I think I’ll be finding something else.

Easy to install and blocks the light well but does not last long. This shade stopped going up after a few months. For this price point I expect better quality.

I love it because you can have privacy and you can still get light .And at night a dark room so you will get your beauty sleep we are about to get more for my whole house because they look very elegant

I love these blinds and ordered two for my daughter’s room a little over a year ago. Today, I walked into her room and one of them was hanging from the top rail. I took it down and looked inside. The plastic pieces had broken off, the springs were released, and the cord was tangled. There is no fixing it. I hate to order another if it’s just going to break, but I already have one and need to match it.

Changing my review since the blind just exploded and came apart. No kid use. It just failed. Very beautiful and functional. We got 2 of these for pretty big windows (48x72, 72x72) and absolutely love the look of them. I'd recommend doing a trial run for your brackets by having your blind on the floor and putting the bracket behind it until you figure out the orientation. The locking mechanism is on the top of this blind. I mounted these on the outside frame. You will see a very small portion of the locking clip when the blind is in place.

Well, its only been a few days since I installed these shades. They were the easiest to install..wow..10 min and wala... beautiful shades! The grey color was a perfect match for my room, they do provide minimal light and Im enjoying the privacy with the pull down option. Update...both of the shades suddenly came apart and were unable to be repaired. Had to purchase replacements, within a short window of time of having them. Now I'm really disappointed...smh. I won't purchase this brand again.

Broke after just 14 mths. What a disappointment. The plastic parts inside top railing just crumbled. :(

Blinds look great but will last you only 1 year before the hardware will literally explode when you are lowering them. We have had this happen to 2 of the blinds we purchased. All parts are plastic and have a very short life. When these break (in next 12 months), we’ll be purchasing from another company that offers a higher quality product or a better warranty.

Look great. Easy install. Exactly what I wanted. I just wanted them to last a minimum of 2 years before breaking. I ordered 3 and every single one broke after about 1 year. 2 of them cant go up from the bottom and the other broke so the top of the shade wont stay up.

Decent cellular shade, but the cordless function broke pretty quickly

We have had these for two years. Adults only using them and the other night a spring came out of the top mechanism. They have plastic pieces to hold these 6 inch heavy duty springs in place. I am not sure how they expect plastic to hold up to the pressure placed on it when these blinds are down. I would not order again. I will also be replacing them. Luckily no-one got hurt when the spring let loose.

Almost two years to the day these were installed, one of two just exploded and fell down. I didn't know what happened because I just found it collapsed and saw that all the pieces parts in the top were loose. After looking at these reviews I see it's a thing with these. Now, I don't know whether to replace the one or buy two different blinds with the expectation that the second one will also soon explode.
