Accent Rugs: Transitional Outdoor Living Room

We kept a neutral color palette for this outdoor living room space to go along with the washed-out deck and light rustic accent walls. Four areas were added: dining, pool lounge, TV seating, and the entry. Patterned accent rugs helped us divide the different areas while keeping the space open. For lighting, multiple lanterns were added above the dining table, and string lights are hung around the lower deck perimeter. The area just outside the double doors has a bench and hooks for swimsuit and towel organization. Everything is glass-free to prevent accidents; all seating options are for outdoor use to avoid mold and make this area as low-maintenance as possible.
