This coastal living room is beachy, colorful, lively, and kid-friendly. The living room has a formal seating area with an ivory sofa filled with plush cushions and throws and two blue wing back chairs which flank a mid-century end table, perfect for intimate conversations. At the other end of the living room, we turned it into a frolicky play area featuring a stylish, sleek ivory bookcase for storing books and reads, a white play table, an easel, an ivory faux fur tiny accent chair, a doll-house and a couple of rattan baskets to store toys or blankets. We grounded the space with a vintage rug that complements the striped rug in the living space. The walls are alive with fine blue-ivory botanical prints, which make the atmosphere feel fresh and playful. Lastly, a brick wall fireplace balances the overall tone of this coastal living room.
