A Batik Rug Dominates This Modern Bedroom

This modern bedroom may look small, but the accents which define the space bring out the best of it—starting from the indigo area rug which governs this bedroom with hand-frayed edges creating an authentic weathered look. We wanted to add functionality to the bedroom – which is why you will see a home office doubled into a vanity section. The bed, too, is functional – transforming into a storage unit with added comfort. Pillows and throws added to the bed make this room worthy of attention. The bed is framed with understated nightstands that also provide a fair amount of storage. Above the bed is an oversized painting adding to a more curated look. A floor-length mirror is placed by the dresser to reflect the natural light in making the room brighter and expansive.
