We purchased our home about a year ago, and I’m excited to design a cozy and welcoming living room for our family of five. We have three adults and four boys aged 19, 13, and 12, along with our two dogs, Sasha, a pitbull, and Mojo Jojo. As a (UX) Designer with 20 years of experience in graphic and web design, I want to create a space that balances beauty and function. I love the modern farmhouse aesthetic, which includes wood textures and clean designs.

Design Brief
I want to include storage solutions, like a coffee table with enough space to keep everything organized. The layout should promote family interaction and allow easy movement throughout the room. I’m looking for low-maintenance materials and finishes since I have boys who can be rough on things. By focusing on these aspects, I hope to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where we can enjoy quality time together, making our living room a cherished gathering spot.

Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D
As a UX designer, I appreciate intuitive interfaces, and the app made it easy to visualize my living room transformation. Being able to see how different furniture pieces and layouts would look in my space helped me feel more confident in my choices.

Spacejoy helped me transform my livingroom We purchased our home about a year ago. I’m a UX designer but quickly realized that doesn’t translate as much as i would like to interior design. I had purchased several pieces for our oddly shaped living room, trying to make it a homey farmhouse feel with no success. I was excited to discover Spacejoy, especially in this Pandemic where we are spending almost all of our time at home. The designer really followed my input and returned an amazing design! The renderings are so realistic - it really got me excited about transforming my living room. I’ve already placed another order to design our bedroom next! Great service
