We’re a couple in our mid-30s and early 40s who’ve recently moved into a new home with a beautiful view. Our bedroom is spacious with large windows, which we love, but the bright morning light can be a bit much, especially in summer, even with our electric blinds. We’d love a solution that allows us to darken the room when we want to sleep but still enjoy the views during the day. We also have three small dogs (two Frenchies and a Boston Terrier), though they don’t sleep in this room. We look forward to seeing this room come together as a calming retreat!

Design Brief
Our style is clean, modern, and chic—we want the room to feel relaxing and comfortable without it feeling too busy or overwhelming. Right now, we only have a bed and side tables in the space, so it definitely needs a few extra pieces to make it feel complete. This space will be for both sleeping and relaxing, a spot where we can read or unwind while taking in the scenery. We’re open to various color ideas as long as they’re soft and inviting, nothing that would be too bold or shocking.

This was our second time collaborating with them, and just like the first, the experience was truly exciting and joyful. Lauren took the vision photos we shared and turned them into a design that captured our style and ideas perfectly. The revision process was easy and quick, resulting in a design that was absolutely spot-on.
Designer Notes
Hi Mark, For your bedroom revision, I've sourced a more colorful, energetic piece of art above the bed, as well as a more comfortable chair for the reading nook, and new rug with a muted pattern and color palette. All around, these new pieces are both functional and flow well with the color palette and style of the room. Your designer, Lauren :)
