We are designing the living room in the basement to serve as a kids' space that can also be used by the kids and their friends as they grow older. I envision a fun and colorful room with plenty of textures, as it receives a lot of natural light. We already have a recliner and a couch from 2020 which we will be keeping, but everything else is a blank canvas.

Design Brief
I personally have an eclectic style and love using color in wallpaper, paint, and textures. Since the basement is not an area we see every day, it has been a bit neglected. We hope to transform it into a space suitable for kids and teenagers as they become more independent. I want it to be fun and lively – a place where they will want to hang out with their friends. At the same time, I want the design to be suitable for adults, so not overly juvenile.

Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D
Using the Spacejoy app to experience my designs in 3D was truly impressive. Once the designer completed the initial concepts, the app allowed me to visualize the redesign in a dynamic and interactive way. I could explore the space from various angles and see how different elements, like the furniture and wallpaper, came together. The 3D views helped me understand the spatial layout and make informed decisions. Thanks to the app, I had a clear picture of how everything would look in real life, ensuring the final design was exactly as I imagined.

Using 3D renders with Spacejoy was an amazing experience. Once the designer completed the initial concepts, the renders provided a strikingly realistic view of the redesign. I could see how every detail—furniture, decor, and textures—would look in my actual space. Great Experience for a Fun, Unique Design I had a great experience with Spacejoy! It took a few times to get my ideas across, but the designer listened with each revision and finally nailed it! My only critique is the budget wasn't really accommodated, so I did have to make some substitutions when shopping online for similar, but less expensive pieces. Overall, I'm very happy and would use them again!
