I’m a single mom and a travel agent, living with my active 7-year-old son. We moved into this house on June 2nd, and I’m now turning my attention to creating a beautiful and cohesive living and dining room. These spaces are the heart of our home and serve as the main entertainment area where we frequently host dinner guests. My son doesn’t play in this space—he spends most of his time in our casual family room—but he does use the living room TV while I’m cooking.

Design Brief
I love to cook, and entertaining is a big part of my life, so this area needs to feel inviting and functional. My home is filled with art I’ve collected from my travels, and I want these pieces to play a central role in the design. To create a warm, cohesive, and stylish space that reflects my love for travel and makes guests feel right at home.
