I really liked the look of this shelf and it is the perfect size for my space. So I decided to go for it even with bad reviews, because those reviews were a few years old and I figured C&B would have fixed the quality issues since then. I was so, so wrong. One of the shelf brackets is about 20 degrees out of square, and none of the holes are square, which means I have been unable to hang this straight. Now I have a shelf in the trash and a bunch of holes in the wall to patch. So, so disappointed. I do not recommend.

Nice looking shelves. However, when installing, the gold brackets did not align with the pre-drilled holes on the shelves. So I had to re-drill my own holes which caused the gold brackets to be offset from the edge of the shelf. Additionally, the instructions were not detailed.

I have ordered many times from Crate and Barrel and never had an issue like this before. 1. Screws are too long for the product. 2. Instructions are not for the type of wall anchors that were included in the order 3. End Braces were poorly constructed and not straight. 4. And last but not least the Brass end pieces were discolored.

I was hesitant about buying these based on others feedback per quality but let me tell you it’s a fantasy piece! It’s perfect for my eight year olds collectible Knick knacks and things. The wood is beautiful and the varying heights and depths is was makes this shelving so special. it’s quite the focus mixed amping his art. Love. And I know he’ll have it for years to come.

I bought this about 6 months ago and it looks great and was straightforward to install.

I loved the look of these shelves and waited several weeks for them, but am so disappointed in the quality. I ordered 2 and on 1 of them the holes on the wood did not align with the brackets, making it completely crooked. Land of Nod send me a replacement right away, but I then noticed that on both the ones I then had, the brackets are not at exact 90 degree angles, so when you attach them the gold brackets tilt outwards instead of straight up and down. Looks like others have had the same problem, so I wish Land of Nod would address this with the manufacturer or not sell such a defective item.

The shelf itself looked okay upon receiving them, but apparently there are holes missing from the bracket for installation. So there are total of four hidden holds from the back and you need to drill/mount screws blind and hope to get them aligned right. It took 2+ hours to install two with some luck. (it will take less than 30min if there are holes as suggested on the installation manual!) \nBecause you need to pre-mount screws, it is fairly difficult or impossible (for me) to mount it tight. So the shelf after installation may be holding up to 10Lb or less goods. The suggested 60LB spec on the web is only true if there holes actually existed on the metal bracket. \nSo overall the design itself is okay, but the manufacturing control is very very bad, much worse than ikea... If you need the factory to drill these holes, you should really make they drill the holes instead upgrade the installation difficulty and downgrades the usability simultaneously!

The shelves themselves look great on the wall and they are holding the items I wanted to be on the shelves perfectly. However, they are constructed poorly. The gold parts do not go flush along the bottom which then makes them go out instead of straight up-and-down. This proved difficult when trying to hang them. Also, the directions are very misleading because the anchor they have pictured is not the same anchor that is shown and the picture shows a hole going through the whole gold part but it does not.

I purchased one of these for my daughter\'s nursery. One of the brackets arrived bent, so it did not look right when hung. I contacted Land of Nod, and they were quick to send replacement brackets that arrived within a week. The set of brackets they sent had another bent one, but thankfully it was the other bracket, so I had one set that worked in the end. I love the look of it, and we aren\'t using it for anything heavy, but it is not high quality for this price- the brackets are a nice heavy metal and the color is beautiful, however the shelf itself is flimsy and seems like it could bend easily.

I ordered 2 of these for my sons room and we love them. I styled them with framed artwork, bookends and favorite keepsake books, special knick knacks, found objects from nature, classic toys he has grown out of and so on. They are purposeful and chic. I am ordering 2 more for our master bathroom to house green plants and keepsakes. A great addition to any room

It was missing a screw. the box it came in was poorly packaged and the shelf itself has flaws and cracks and is low quality.
