The mantel was sent promptly by its manufacturer but fed ex sat on the delivery which affected our installation timeline and build of fireplace. Boulder Innovations did everything promised and even took a phone call regarding an installation question. They actually put someone on the phone who builds the mantel! The mantel looks fantastic and was easy to install. Very happy with them but fed ex, not so much.

Shipped fast was in great shape. Honestly, I was skeptical, but the quality was better than expected. Love the stain (looks just like the piece in the video - that was a helpful reference, and honestly what led me to finally pulling the trigger to purchase) and it looks great above our fireplace.

So disappointing! There is a chunk missing out of the mantel beam, the wood itself is covered in sticky sap. The metal installation bracket is warped which made putting it on the wall very difficult, and once we finally got it on, the 3 top screws to anchor it don't have markers and don't line up properly. The screw holes in the metal bracket also are not centered, so that has to be compensated for when attaching the bracket to the wall or your mantel will not be centered. Poor quality overall.

Product is as advertised and was perfect centrepiece for our fireplace project. Only left 4 stars because the bracket was three quarters of an inch off centre. I had everything mounted and went to put the mantle up and had to take it down and adjust.

Very nice mantel but beware, it is a VERY rough cut. And each order is different which makes it unique. Ours was not square and had a few cracks in the back. Also had a problem with shipping. Paid for expedited and got it later than expected. Overall a nice piece though
