The lesson is, you get what you pay for. We ordered this bed in November and received it a couple of days ago. Understandable enough given how busy this past holiday season was. The bed was well packaged into two boxes, and unlike some others, we did have all of our needed hardware upon unboxing. Putting together the frame was easy and straightforward. No complaints there other than the panels not meeting together seamlessly as others have pointed out. Not a huge deal, my husband and I can live with it. However, the biggest issue we are facing is that the screws supplied to connect the headboard to the wings are not long enough. When we test them in the wings themselves, it takes a good two and a half inches of length before the screw meets the metal nut inside of the wing. When you then must push the wing against the headboard and thread the screw through both, you simply cannot reach the nut. It’s really frustrating to have to run to the hardware store to try to fix something that should have been designed to build as it claims. Would NOT recommend this bed. RH and others sell the same style. Pay the extra money to get something that is half the work.

The grey is definitely a little darker than it looks in the pictures, but it is looks very well made. The bed arrived in 2 separate boxes a day apart from each other. Also was pretty straight forward to put together. It took me and my husband about 2 hours to put together and we had all the hardware we needed. So happy with my purchase!

Do NOT buy this bed. When I first got it and put it together the boards did not line up for the footboard. Which I would not expect if I was paying $600. Now, one year later the bed is nearly falling apart. I can’t even roll over without it being obnoxiously loud. Before this bed I had spent $400 on one at art van and the quality is not even comparable. I am very disappointed in this bed and highly recommend you do not make the same mistake. Go to a real furniture store!

This bed is not only beautiful, it is extremely well made. It adds class and charm to my bedroom. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

Very impressed with this bed. Easy to assemble, and very very sturdy. It was a little more than other beds we compared it too but I'm glad we went with it. The material and color is fantastic!

The headboard seems nice. Too bad the rest of the bed hasn’t come yet and it’s been a week. No word from birch lane about when it’s coming. No way to check shipping or track or anything. Maybe some updates would be nice. I’d be happy to change the review if they’d give some information to me.

So happy with this bed! It's beautiful and exactly as pictured. The linen fabric looks super expensive. It arrived a month before I was expecting which was awesome.

Fairly easy set up. We love the bed. One of the boxes that arrived has a big rip in it and all the screws and washers were at the bottom. I had to run to the hardware store to replace.

Beautiful bed. Took three hours to build the king. Gave it 4 stars because it took three months to come in and Birch Lane gave no reason why it was continuously being delayed.

Easy to put together. This was exactly what I wanted. I ordered several fabric samples in advance to see the colors in person. The bed was on backorder, but it was worth the wait.

I ordered this bed in a king size in the Talc color. So far, I’m very happy with it! I was very nervous about ordering such an important piece of furniture online, but this is a great bed. It feels very sturdy, and the color really lightened up the room. It was fairly simple to assemble. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the end pieces don’t fit together perfectly. I was expecting this based on prior reviews. This is aesthetic and doesn’t impact the sturdiness of the bed. As other reviews stated, it came in 2 different boxes on different days. The boxes were pretty beaten up, but luckily nothing was damaged. All hardware was included. I’d definitely recommend this bed.
