We got this rug a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I was a little apprehensive about A. Durability since we have dogs and this is in a high traffic room and B. How soft it would be on bare feet. First of all the rug is absolutely beautiful, classic and modern. It had a very earthy smell when I took it out of the packaging that lasted a few days but wasn't unpleasant. All the edges laid flat so no issues there. I haven't noticed any shedding or dirt near the rug. Regarding my concern about durability...there are a couple knots that have come up but I've tucked them back in easily. I did buy plastic sliders for my coffee table so that the legs wouldn't snag anything when we move the table around. I would suggest doing the same if you like to move your table around like we do.I have found a couple stray sticks sticking out - I just pulled them out. I guess thats to be expected from a natural rug. Regarding softness, the first thing my husband said when he walked barefoot on the rug was, "It's so soft!". I walk barefoot on this rug everyday and do not think it is rough or unpleasant. All in all, this is an amazing deal for a beautiful rug. Who are we kidding, it wasn't a $2k rug so I'm very impressed with the quality.

Looks as nice as I hoped it would. Smells like earth but Ive read that will go away. Pokey sticks in it that I will likely be pulling out over time but I think thats standard with these rugs. Its super thick and beautiful color!

Love this rug! It arrived on Wednesday and I only ordered it Sunday night! I love the thickness of it and the colour is beautiful. It does have a slight musty smell, but I was prepared for that and expect it to disappear in a few days. I got the 8 x 10 size which is perfect for my small condo living room. I'm looking forward to having this carpet in front of my sliding glass doors so that it won't show the dirt like my old wool one did. Very happy with this purchase!

Corgi Approved! I looked at this rug a year ago and chickened out. The only other rug I found that I liked was A LOT more $$. For the price, free shipping and return, I jumped. This rug is very substantial, and therapeutic to walk on bare foot. The scale of the texture was larger than I expected, but it quickly sat comfortably in the room. My home is a prefab and a little void of detail, this rug really gave the room some visual weigh. I layered with an Indian rug I inherited from my grandmother. I love the combination of sustainability and reuse of a valuable piece. Love the way the neutral tone sets off the other pieces in the room. We'll see about dog fur,, and longevity. Hoping it lasts a long, long time.

Just got this rug for our dining room and LOVE IT!!! Very thick and soft to the feet - the colors are true to the picture and our beagle loves it (very important-ha)!You do have to pick up the chairs but we were used to that with our other carpet and not a big deal.It didn't smell at all like some previous reviews mentioned.You do need a rug pad if its lying on wood.

I love the texture of this rug. Its 'nubby' and almost feels like a foot massage. I wish it didn't have as much orange in it, but maybe that will fade?

I bought the 7x9 rug and layered it with my cowhide rug and it looks amazing. The rug isheavy and great for high traffic areas. Easy to clean and low maintenance. Its in my dining room and ties in nicely with my boho glam look.
