This bed arrived earlier than promised....great start.We read about the difficulty of the instructions and assembly in other people's posts.My husband has every tool imaginable and can fix anything.We were off to a great start on the assembly and about 75% complete when we got to a metal hole in the bed frame that was supposed to be drilled out in order to receive a bolt.The chad was hanging!The hole was not fully accessible because the metal punch from the manufacturer's drilling was in the way of the opening.Luckily my husband, the one with all the tools, retrieved the correct bit and drill making the opening for the bolt larger and accessible.We were then able to complete the installation.For many this may have been a deal breaker and a new frame may have had to be ordered.The bed is GREAT!!!!!Sadly one of the door panels arrived pretty dinged up from shipping, but in true form the folks at Wayfair got right on it and are sending the new panel to us.I hope it arrives soon and we can stick with our 5 star rating....

Beautiful. Just like the pictures. Took a while for it to come but overall very nice. It took 2 people to out together.

Love this bed!! I use it in a guest suite/studio space. I put a couch in front of it, so when I have guests, I just simply move the couch and their bed is available. When I don't have guest, I use the space as my office. In time, I'm going to take off the handles and hang a large canvas on it with Command Hooks so it can stay on even when lowered. Took myself and my husband maybe 3 to 4 hours to put it together. Simple puzzle-like construction. I purchased a mattress in a box on line. Be sure to not get a mattress thicker than they recommend. Opening and closing is very easy. I highly recommend this product.

The bed feels sturdy and looks nice! We are turning our second guest room into a nursery and did not want to lose our office to keep a second guest room. The Murphy bed was the perfect solution to add in our office.Assembly took a couple hours and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. It is definitely a two person job to assemble. Our mattress is 13 inches thick, which is an inch thicker than recommended. We have another mattress that is 14 inches we tried, but it did not close completely. This is the perfect product to conserve pace and the bed is very easy to pull down and push up. I really recommend this product!

This bed is perfect for our 450 sq. ft. Studio apartment! We did a significant amount of research before purchasing this bed. Read other reviews, took assembly times into consideration and even watched some YouTube videos for inspiration. Happy to say that the delivery was seamless...HUGE and HEAVY boxes were left right inside our doorway (we live on a second floor but the delivery guys had no issues). Building the bed was totally doable for two inexperienced people who simply follow instructions well and have patience. All in all, took us about 6-7 hours to complete over the course of 2 days. Our mattress fit perfectly in the bed and we slept comfortably for the first time in a while. Very happy with our purchase!

We bought this bed with a 50% discount and it has worked great for me and my wife. We live in an apartment so we needed to save space. The delivery was pretty smooth and when we requested. Assembly of this bed is not difficult at all. The most difficult part is after you have assembled the frame on the floor, you definitively need two strong macho men to lift it and put it in place. The other difficult part is to anchor the bed, however, thanks to the ingenious of the one who invented the strap snap toggle bolt it was a breeze. I first tried with some regular toggle bolts after, I made the holes with the drill, and I lost a couple of butterflies because the bolt was not long enough. Anyways this bed is manufactured by Bestar in Canada, and when I called technical support with questions they are very nice and very helpful. Needless to say that the space in our room is much bigger now with this bed. Opening this bed is not that easy for women for sure. I (man) can open it no problem, my wife can't. Closening the bed is much easier, and it would be good if Bestar includes the mattress securing straps always even though when you call them they will send them to you.

Great purchase!! My husband put it together himself in one afternoon. Probably took a solid five hours, but he said it wasn’t too difficult. The instructions included with the product were not very good. My husband relied on a YouTube video which was step-by-step. Our only constructive feedback is that the box arrived damaged and there were a couple of pieces that were scratched, but luckily isn’t too visible once set up. Overall we are happy with it! Definitely works in the space we purchased it for!

It's a full Saturday's work (for two people) to put it all together but it is so rewarding when it's all finished. It's exactly what I needed for the spare bedroom, very nice!

Wow this bed is Perfrct for our city living.. Price is right, as the design fits our modern living..love love

It’s a great piece. All the different parts go together well. I am a 5’11 female with very poor upper body strength, but I was able to put it together myself. The hardest parts I found to do were standing the unit upright after direction 3 since I was alone and securing it to the wall with metal stud wall anchors just because I had never done it before. Watching the Bestar support videos on YouTube was very helpful. So happy with how this came out and very proud of myself for putting it together alone.
