The bed itself is beautiful however i find the bookcase too easy too scratch. you really need to be careful when putting anything in it.

I bought this bed about 5 years ago. I moved it from coast to coast and then back again. Still sturdy and beautiful like the day it arrived. I've had to touch up some minor scratches on the footboard over the years but a little bit of almond oil takes care of it. It is *enormous* so make sure you measure your space well before buying! Hope to keep it forever, it's that durable.

The wood is beautiful, including the reclaimed wood headboard. The only thing I'd advise is to request pictures of the specific headboard you'll be getting BEFORE delivery. There is a good deal of variety in appearance of the headboard specifically due to it being made of the reclaimed wood. It's worth that potential issue, though. The bed looks fantastic.

This is quite honestly my favorite purchase from Crate & Barrel! I love the detail in the peroba wood headboard and the bookcase is a great place to store blankets and other small items. The bed does sit rather low although I quite like this. I never quite understood why people would want feel like they're climbing a mountain to get into bed. Overall, just a stunning product.

Bought this bed about a month ago and coupled with the mattress and bedding we also bought from Crate & Barrel sleeping is very comfy and good looking! We opted for a different night stand rather than the Atwood unit, but the teak wood matched matches perfectly with the bed and floors. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a new bedroom set.

I bought this bed because I loved the rustic look and I still do love the look of the bed. I have had several experiences where my mattress has started to sag because of this bed - it doesn't provide good support for the mattress (I have a crate and barrel mattress that they suggested). The bookcase also appears to be not solid wood - it easily knicks and the knicks really detract from the look of the bed.

I bought this bed about a month ago and I am so in love with it. It is very sturdy and is a piece of art. I love that it doesn’t require box springs. although a little more expensive than other furniture I can tell that this furniture is quality and will last awhile.

I've had the Atwood Queen bed with Bookcase for a few months now. I wasn't initially looking for a platform bed, but I was drawn to this piece because of the wood. The headboard did creak/pop a couple of times within the first month, but it hasn't happened since. It is a very sturdy piece and looks great - even in my small space.
