• For this design, we chose the Gronlid sofa from Ikea as the focal point and designed the room around it. It is a piece by designer Francis Cayouette/Ehlén Johansson; this sofa is elegant and versatile. The sofa's sections can be combined in multiple ways to get a size and shape that suits your needs. If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two to customize. Deep-seated cushions with a layer of fiber balls and plenty of comfortable back cushions make this sofa feel soft and inviting.
• We threw in some beautiful cushions from Birch Lane in shades of blue, adding an artful appeal to the sofa. To add to the aesthetics of the couch, we also added some Chelsea cotton throw pillows from Birch Lane again. These simplistic and elegant pillows, when placed in a farmhouse living room, create a look that is not only stunning but also aesthetically appealing.
• The next element that we added is the Verso indigo blue striped rug from CB2, to offset the color of the sofa. This gorgeous rug plays a pivotal role in breaking the color monotony of the space, becoming the eye-catcher of the room itself.
• The room needed some shades of sand as well, so we added some hand-picked minimal elements that would break the pattern of the blues and whites. The Larock pouf from All Modern is a gorgeous addition to any space, and more so for the coastal living room. The antique-looking Florance swing arm floor lamp from Joss and Main came in next. The body of the lamp is an antique bronze color, and the shade is an earthy brown. The Arguelles end table from All Modern beneath it, beautifully completes the corner, the little succulent pots from All Modern adding their charm to the ensemble.
• We picked the Summer 1-light dome pendant from Joss and Main for the lighting fixture. This feature quite subtly directs the flow of the room from the sofa and rugs to the walls above. The graphic art print from All Modern is one that makes a statement in this room. With an overarching Gold, yellow, brown color, and metallic texture, it adds a dynamic feel to the modern farmhouse decor. This beach-inspired wall décor is printed using ultra-premium and fade resistant inks to guarantee high definition and vivid colors.
• When it comes to coastal homes, the airier and more open, the better, with coastal interior design, refreshing is what to aim for. The light palette of colors- the mix of whites and sandy tones can help us achieve just that. The coastal design concept consists mainly of white walls with splashes of striking cobalt and turquoise, making modern farmhouse living rooms come alive.
